O.k so here it is! It has been 1 year ago that we received our Proc’s Huntin Buddy. During the past year our “Buddy” has been hanging tight in our 2 man ladder stand. We went out last weekend to see how he was holding up. To my suprise he was in the same plase and looked the same as he did the day we accepted him into the Whitetail Mafia Family. No fading, no tears, and dispite the straight line winds that took out trees all around him; he was still in one piece! So our first impression of the quality & craftsmanship that goes into these products stand true!

Now for the real question; does it work? The answer, Absolutely! At the beginning of the season we made a mock scrape just 17 yards from our “Huntin Buddy”. For about two weeks or so we didnt see much activity. When we went back out we saw several tracks leading toward the scrape as well as a broken limb above it. Throughout the season we noticed more and more tracks and the scrape grew Larger! Now here we are 1 year later and can definately say the deer in the area grew use to the human decoy. We only had the opportunity to hunt this spot once last season and Jason was able to harvest a mature doe 22 yards from the stand.. Not once did this mature doe hesitate as she walked down the same trail Procs Huntin Buddy had been watching for us.
Whitetail Mafia is very pleased with all aspects of Proc’s Huntin Buddy and are proud to have him as a sponsor! Thanks to Jeff Proctor from Proc’s Huntin Buddy for developing such a great product. The Proc’s Huntin’ Buddy is designed to work as a human decoy when you are not in the woods. The concept is to condition the game to seeing a human in your stand. This review is Part 1 (of 2) that will cover the quality of the Huntin’ Buddy. Part 2 will come later in the season once we have the opportunity to see him at work.
I was very excited once our Proc’s Huntin Buddy arrived at our door step. We had been awaiting his arrival and the time had come to tear open the box and examine the quality of our new hunting friend. I have to say, I did not know what to expect when I opened our new “Buddy” but he was made of good quality nylon material in a modern camouflage pattern. The Huntin Buddy came complete with lanyards to hold him in place throughout the toughest storms. I was impressed with the quality of the sewn seams and it looks like our hunting buddy has what it takes to last several seasons. Once our new buddy was stuffed and ready for action he was a bit cumbersome to maneuver which makes me believe that I will have to make a separate trip into the woods just to place him into position. Overall I am very happy with the quality of the material and the workmanship of the Proc’s Huntin’ Buddy. I give him 3-Stars for now.
Stay tuned for Part 2 as we see how our Huntin’ Buddy does one on one with the whitetail…

Considering this was my first year out in the turkey woods I wanted to keep the cost down as much as possible. I decided to use the Delta stationary feeding hen as one of my decoys. I found this decoy portable and convenient. Bright coloring makes the decoy look very realistic. The delta decoy brought my turkey within 35 yards to make my first turkey hunt a successful one! Priced at 19.99 I would suggest this decoy to any beginner or someone trying to keep a tight budget!
